Vic: Electoral staff vow to continue industrial action

Striking Victorian electoral staffers have vowed to continue industrial action if workconditions don't improve.

About 100 staff have walked off the job for 24 hours, leaving 88 predominantly LaborMPs without electoral staff.

The staff are demanding improved overtime and allowances and better career path structures.

Community and Public Sector Union industrial officer DEBBIE HILL says the stoppageis expected to severely disrupt operations at local members' electoral offices.
