Qld: Callous man attacks Easter bunny
The Easter spirit went out the window when a man attacked a young woman dressed as
the Easter Bunny.
Police say the incident occurred yesterday afternoon when the 20-year-old bunny was
handing out free Easter eggs to customers at the Confectionary Warehouse in Brisbane's
north.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the attack to come forward.
They say the attack involved a male, said to be of Asian appearance and aged in his
40s, and a boy aged between nine and 10-years-of-age.
The man apparently hit the woman in the stomach.
The woman was hospitalised and treated for extensive bruising.
Police say despite the fact the store was crowded at the time of the attack, no one
moved to help the woman or stop her attacker.
