Qld: Man feared drowned as Beni rains lash Queensland

TOWNSVILLE, Feb 6 AAP - A man was feared drowned, towns were flooded and and a pregnantfederal MP was stranded in wild rains and flooding today sparked by ex-Cyclone Beni.
Heavy rain hammered the central Queensland coast overnight, causing chaos but failingto bring relief to severely drought-affected inland areas.
A 67-year-old man is missing from Gracemere, west of Rockhampton, after being washedoff a flooded creek crossing while trying to save his horse.
A Rockhampton police spokesman said the horse had been rescued and helicopter and footsearches were underway …
