WA: Cross Aust cyclists to raise money for deaf
A group of cyclists will today embark on a gruelling trip from Perth to Sydney in a
bid to raise $160,000 for Australia's deaf.
The 31 cyclists will ride about 170 kilometres a day to make it to Sydney in time for
the Olympics.
The longest day will see them cover 216 kilometres.
Coordinator JAN COGGINS says the cyclists are fit and raring to go after 18 months of training.
The cyclists will stay in churches and billets in the 28 towns and cities they'll visit
on their trip.
